Frequently asked questions
Can't find the answer you're looking for? Get in touch and I'll get back to you within 24 hours.
- Do you train at a facility or at my home?
- All training happens at your home and in your neighbourhood. This is where the real challenges occur — your front door, your walking routes, your backyard. Training in the actual environment produces faster, more durable results.
- What breeds do you work with?
- All breeds and mixes. I grew up handling German Shepherds, Bernese Mountain Dogs, American Bullies, and Belgian Malinois — but I work with every dog, from Chihuahuas to Great Danes.
- How many sessions will my dog need?
- It depends on the issue. Puppy foundation typically runs 4–6 sessions. Reactivity and aggression work varies — some dogs respond in 6 sessions, others need 12+. We will discuss realistic expectations in our first session.
- Do you serve areas outside Calgary?
- Yes — I serve Calgary, Airdrie, Okotoks, Cochrane, Strathmore, and Chestermere. If you are outside these areas, reach out and we can discuss.
- What training methods do you use?
- I use a balanced approach grounded in positive reinforcement, combined with clear communication and structure. Every dog is different — the method adapts to the dog, not the other way around.
- What if my dog is aggressive?
- Aggression cases start with an assessment session. I will evaluate the type and severity of the aggression, discuss realistic outcomes, and create a safety-first rehabilitation plan. Not every case is fixable, and I will be honest about that upfront.
